One house, two eras
On Carrera 2, at number 23-05, a wooden door opens between wrought-iron grilles and white walls. The movement of Santa Marta's historic centre stays outside. Inside: deep-red arches, a terracotta corridor and plants growing under the skylight. The city at the door and calm within.
The ground floor is new: renovated rooms, warm and modern. The upper floor keeps the original house — colonial architecture, rustic wood and an open balcony over the tiled roofs, the way it was more than thirty years ago. The hotel is adults only.

Choose your era
Downstairs, renovated double rooms with private bathroom, air conditioning, hot water and a TV, with one king bed or two semi-double beds; the Deluxe adds a minibar. Upstairs, on the original floor, the Cuádruple Classic sleeps up to four with a double bed and a bunk, and the Clásica is the simplest and most economical. Air conditioning in every room.

The house
From arch to arch
The corridor runs the house from one red arch to the next, herringbone tile underfoot and plants along the walls. In the lounge, a colourful woven bench faces a wall of Macondo posters. Upstairs, the balcony turns above the tiled roofs and lets the afternoon through. The city is still out there; there is no rush.

The house sits in Santa Marta’s historic centre, on Carrera 2. The nearest airport is Simón Bolívar, in the city itself. Day trips to Tayrona and Minca start from here, and reception, open 24 hours, helps with taxis and tours.
